Matthew 28:19–20 (KJV 1900): 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. The day for the departure of the 2023 Mission team to Punta Gorda and Crooked Tree has arrived. The Team assembled in the lobby of Tri-Cities Airport anxious to start the service in Belize and to teach and preach the Good News of the Gospel. The flight from TRI was delayed for serveral minutes due to a request by the Charlotte Airport, but at 0740, the plane took off, and we safely arrived at CLT. The flight from Charlotte to Belize City took off on-time, and we arrived safely in Belize. We completed Customs approvals with little delay, other than the instructions given to us for Custom Form Completion on the airplane did not match the Belizean Customs request that all individuals have a separate form, and there was a delay in completing the forms. We were met by Pastor Victor and young men from his church, who loaded our luggage onto the bus. The trip to TFOCC was uneventful, and took over four hours. Of interest in the trip were the frequent road signs, indicating crossings for “tapirs” and “jaguars” (native to Belize) We took the coastal highway, a recently completed 20+ mile road that connected to the Southern Highway. We stopped for a couple of times to purchase water and snacks. The ride concluded with our arrival at TFOCC, where a great meal awaited us consisting of salad, rice and beef, with water and juice. It was after dark when we arrived at Charleton Inn, our home-away-from-home for the week. Pray for God’s blessings on the Team as we spread the Gospel to the people of Southern Belize!
